Abstract

This volume is to provide direction on the implementation of rural water supply and sanitation in Malawi focusing on village level operation and operation and maintenance of hand pumps such as Afridev Pumps. The volume covers financial and administrative arrangements, instituional frameworks, roles of different players and capacity building, processes and methodologies for rural water supply programmes.
