Abstract

This manual has been prepared as a guide to facilitate the establishement of a hand pump spare parts supply chain. This supply chain is essential for the sustainability of operation and maintenance of rural water supply in Malawi. The contents of the manual provide materials which can be utilised as guidelines for the stakeholders involved in water and sanitation projects seeking ot establish or manage a apare parts supply chain. It also outlines roles that these stakeholders can play in hand pump operation and maintenance (O&M).
